I'm on a roll!

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 24, 2008, 5:58 PM
I'm amazed at myself! I managed to post not one, but TWO mills in less than a week. I'm stunned and speechless over that - I always tend to be lazy about somethings, but this one moved quickly.

The new mill is the Courtyard at Highland Park, one of the mills in the Rock Hill, SC area.

I've got one more set of mill photographs in my files and then I'm going to have to go out and do some mill crawls again. I can't wait!!

New mill page

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 20, 2008, 4:48 PM
It took longer than expected but the newest addition to my mills has been uploaded to my web page, the Loray Mill in Gastonia, NC. This is my big fave and the one that got it all started for me. I've now got a total of six on the website with two more still waiting to be generated, then I can start looking for more to photograph!

By all means, feel free to check them out and hope you enjoy!

doing ok

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 9, 2008, 3:33 AM
my apologies for incorrect grammar and no punctuation, but had some minor surgery on my left elbow early friday morning. the left arm is in a splint right now so i'm not typing too fast at the moment. good ol' hunt and peck for me - really chaps my butt too

surgery went smooth. they gave me general anesthesia because a block on the elbow isn't all that effective. from what the anesthesiologist said, they had a fight getting the tube down and i have a sore throat to prove it. the diaphragm is also feeling a bit strained in the lungs from coughing to get the crap out of them. i haven't had pain in the elbow but every other muscle in me hurts, from the calves to the shoulders. yesterday i was feeling like shooting me would have been a mercy <g>. i'm still feeling some muscle pain today but i definitely feel better than i was.

ted has been a saint through this I wasn't the best of patients yesterday (that's an understatement). besides helping me, he's been taking care of immediate house stuff and finishing a show up in charlotte. i went up to see it last night and glad i did. considering our area is in a nasty heat wave (103 today) and the ac at the theater was barely working, the actors were able to keep the energy up.

we're trying to figure out instructions for when the splint can come off. four people told us 4 different things. sigh. i'll call his office tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed that it can come off after ted comes home. no problem keeping the incision dry and clean but i can't work with the splint on.

anyway - took me 30 minutes just to type this much but did want you to know i'm okay and just ready to get back to routine again.

one-armed hugs to all
